GL-24xEP+ under the slot machine

One fanless 24-port PoE++ switch in the base of a single game networks the whole bank of eight, with redundant uplinks back to the network.

   On the slot floor

   A bank of eight games, two rows of four back to back. Every game needs a link to the casino management system, every player-tracking unit needs power and data, and the bank sign and camera need the same.

   Inside one slot base

   The GL-24xEP+ goes in the locked base under a single game, row A, game 2. No closet, no rack: it sits on a shelf in space the base already has, with its IEC cord into the power strip that feeds the game.

   Meet the GL-24xEP+

   24 PoE++ copper ports, plus dual 10G SFP+ and dual 2.5G copper uplink ports. Layer 2+ features keep slot accounting, player tracking and surveillance on separate VLANs.

   ReadyLED: ports that match the cable

   Each port glows in the colour of the patch cord plugged into it. Ease the plugs out and every jack lights up to match its cable: game links in green, player tracking in blue. A slot tech can trace a run at a glance and pull the right cord the first time.

   Every game from one switch

   Short runs through the raceway between the rows reach all eight games: one port for each game and one PoE port for its player-tracking unit, plus the progressive sign, the bank camera and the marketing kiosk on the end of the bank, with five ports to spare. The switch itself plugs into the power strip that already feeds the game.

   Redundant uplinks, divergent paths

   Two uplinks leave through separate floor cores and run different routes to two IDFs, so one cut cable or closet outage doesn't take the bank offline. Flip between Fiber and Copper in the toolbar, or simulate a cut on path A.

7. 7

   Fanless, sealed, silent

   No fan to pull carpet fibre and dust into a closed slot base, and no fan noise at the player's feet. Fewer moving parts means fewer slot-tech calls and less game downtime.
