Wi-Fi on a light pole, 300 m from the IDF
On a golf course there is no building to put a switch in. A hardened cabinet on posts is the IDF; a GL-4xTH-RPF beside it reaches a cart-path light pole 300 m away over one Cat6 pair, with a DC cable alongside.
Why a GL-4xTH-RPF and an IPC-4STP fit a golf course
No rack, no room
The host is sealed to IP67 and mounts on a post or wall, so the IDF can be a cabinet on two posts instead of a telecom room.
Two small supplies, no injector
A 48 V DC supply in the cabinet powers the client and its PoE+ access point over 300 m of low-voltage cable, and a 90 W IPC-PS-90 USB-C supply powers the host beside it.
Four poles from one host
Each copper tail reaches a pole over a single pair, 300 m here, so three spare tails are three more access points or cameras around the course without another cabinet.
Representative install. The cabinet, power supply, access point and course layout are examples; actual cabling, mounting, reach, voltage drop and available PoE depend on the site, the cable gauge and the AC service.
